APN Instruction & Hands-On Training

This is a practical training session with an emphasis on learning the technique through demonstration and hands-on application.

Community Clinical Workshop
The afternoon becomes a working clinical environment.
Volunteer patients from the community with significant or persistent neurological presentations will receive complimentary Advanced Neurological Acupuncture.
Practitioners will work with patients while applying the techniques introduced during the morning session, with direct instruction and clinical guidance throughout the afternoon.
What Is APN?
APN — Active Perineural Neuromodulation — is an anatomy-based acupuncture technique developed for the treatment of neurological dysfunction.
Rather than relying primarily on traditional point selection, APN uses specific anatomical locations associated with peripheral nerve pathways and combines precise needling with active positioning and hands-on techniques.
The method was developed through clinical work with patients experiencing complex neurological injuries and persistent neurological dysfunction.
This workshop focuses on the practical application of APN: locating and accessing relevant anatomical structures, understanding how positioning changes the treatment, and learning how the technique can be incorporated into an existing acupuncture practice.
About the Instructor
Jennifer M. Williams, DACM, L.Ac. is an integrative medicine practitioner, educator, and developer of Active Perineural Neuromodulation (APN), a specialized acupuncture-based approach designed to influence dysfunctional peripheral nerve pathways and improve neurological function.
Her clinical and teaching work focuses on complex neurological injury, chronic neurological dysfunction, and persistent pain presentations. Dr. Williams has worked with neurological and chronic pain populations in private practice and within military and federal healthcare settings and has taught practitioners in the United States and internationally.
Her teaching emphasizes practical, anatomy-based methods that clinicians can immediately integrate into patient care.
This workshop provides the unusual opportunity to learn APN in the morning and then apply the technique with neurological patients under Dr. Williams’ direct guidance during the afternoon clinical session.
